Founded in 2022 by Jovanna Burke, Grand Boulevard Entertainment was born from a mission to address the longstanding underrepresentation of women, minorities, and diverse narratives in the film and television industry. Drawing from two decades of experience in Vancouver’s entertainment scene, Jovanna envisioned and built a creative space dedicated to empowering these voices both in front of and behind the camera, influencing cultural narratives through compelling storytelling.

Grand Boulevard has stood out by committing to projects that amplify the experiences of women and minorities, fostering meaningful representation on screen and within production teams. Our journey began with the successful production of JANE, a film that not only highlighted a female-driven story but also employed a predominantly BC-based crew, with women and minorities in key leadership roles. This foundational success affirmed our vision and paved the way for original projects that reflect our dedication to inclusivity. Building on this momentum, the company has curated a diverse slate of projects blending original concepts and collaborations with emerging talent.

Mission
Empowering underrepresented voices through authentic storytelling, Grand Boulevard Entertainment is dedicated to creating compelling, diverse content that transcends boundaries, resonates globally, and fosters positive social impact.
Vision
Pioneering a future where diverse stories—especially those of women—inspire, unite, and redefine cultural narratives. We believe authentic storytelling has the power to broaden perspectives and create meaningful change within the film industry, starting in British Columbia.
